Disaster Relief

Sometimes priests need more than encouraging words to help them through their day. Sometimes there's a need to help them minister to their parishioners through bottled water and canned goods. Through our efforts we will bring a moment of relief after natural disasters.

Hurricane Ida

On Sunday, August 29, 2021, southeast Louisiana was hit by a category four hurricane. Strongly effecting the Terrebonne, Lafourche, Jefferson, Saint Charles, Saint John the Baptist, Saint James, Assumption, and Ascension Parishes. Hurricane Ida left over one million people without power and several parishes (counties) with water boil advisories.

On September 9th, a group of four volunteers took the first load of donations to Raceland, Louisiana. They took everything to St. Hilary of Poitiers, who was acting as the distributer of donations for the eight other parishes in that area.

Located in Dulac, Louisiana Holy Family is the church we are working with for getting volunteers and donations to Louisiana.
